 Expandable and Flexible Architecture

Our exclusive design is based on the international standard VME bus. This configuration uses non-proprietary boards, allowing for an expandable and flexible system architecture. In addition, the Sigma Six arrangement has on-board PC for data monitoring activities. VME utilizes open architecture with industry-proven standard boards. It is designed with today's board level philosophy for easier maintenance and trouble-shooting. Sciaky's welding systems, such as Electron Beam (EB), Advanced Arc (GTWA, PAW), etc., have successfully used the VME architecture for more than 10 years.

Easy, Foolproof Programming with Built-in Setup Checks

7. VME Rack: Sigma Six uses computer hardware that meets the VME worldwide industrial process control standard. Multiple microprocessors provide fast response, so that corrections such as voltage compensation occur in less than 1/3 of a cycle.

8. Visual Parts Locator: A unique feature of Sciaky's Sigma Six Control is the Visual Parts Locator (VPL), a graphical interface program that allows the user to obtain manufacturer's code numbers for replacement parts on the weld system. Users can easily navigate around a displayed pictorial view of the machine.

9. Retrofits: Sigma Six can be ordered as part of a new Sciaky resistance welding machine, added during a rebuild or remanufacture, or field installed onto an existing 3-phase welder in your facility.
